Logistics services under objectives of cost, service quality, and the environment

Short description

This project comprises various logistics planning problems where not only the minimization of cost is subject of the decision making but also a maximization of service quality or a minimization of impacts on the environment. An example of such a problem is found in the maintenance planning of electricity networks. Here, the travel effort of the mobile maintenance workers and the down-times of the network assetts that are to be maintained need to be traded off in the planning. The research project aims at developing methods for solving such kind of routing problems.
